Reorganisation of a municipal service provider
In this project, a municipal real estate service provider faced various challenges: historically grown structures had led to inefficient processes. A sharp rise in the order situation meant that demand could not be met at the speed desired by customers. This is a problem that has increased due to the existing shortage of skilled workers. Against this background, measures should be developed and implemented to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation and thus ensure a sustainable realignment.
Solution & result
As part of a broad-based analysis phase, five fields of action were identified (strategy & control, organizational structure, processes, personnel and data & IT). For these fields 30 optimization initiatives have been designed. Valetis takes over the project management and accompanies the implementation of the restructuring on site in close cooperation with the management and staff.
The project is still being implemented (as planned). The restructuring helps the organization to better manage the structural challenges and to control them in a results-oriented manner. The measures help internally and externally to regain lost trust.
