Due to personnel changes and bottlenecks in resources, business developments had become confusing over the years. Internal communication and exchange on business development suffered and there was a lack of transparency. In order to make important processes for management decisions clear again, the company was faced with the necessity to realign its monthly reporting. The owners with strong technological product know-how were represented in the management. Development of a new focused and automated monthly reporting as well as essential KPIs. Introduction of a forecast process and cost centre reporting and first-time implementation of an integrated 3-year corporate planning. Regular presentation and joint discussion of the business results and the strategic development of the company during the monthly management meetings. Business sparring also in preparation for bank appointments as well as definition and implementation of the strategy.

Result/conclusion

Gain transparency about the current course of business, impact of management decisions and strategic measures, secure medium and long-term financing requirements, return to a successful growth course in conjunction with an increase in profitability.
