Performance Improvement & Restructuring

Performance Improvement is understood to be a result of the correct alignment between companies or parts of companies so that all is similarly goal-oriented to meet not only shareholder interests, but also the interests of other stakeholders. We identify restructuring as a holistic, strategic approach that is fundamentally based on a sustainable business model, with cost and organisational structures being further adapted from there.  It is important to arrange adequate financing in order to accomplish a sustainable business operation. We provide guidance in the dissection and implementation of cost reductions or personnel restructuring measures in an efficient manner so as to achieve successful optimisation of resources. In situations close to insolvency, we stand available as a quick reaction resource with the expertise needed to stabilise the company, and the ability to serve the needs of the stakeholders involved in pursuit of a new strategic direction.

Finance & Controlling

It is not unusual for Valetis to advise and collaborate with our clients for years in the areas of Finance & Controlling as well as Business Development. In such cases, we gladly offer assistance to entrepreneurs and shareholders long term in setting up controlling processes (including cost centre accounting, KPI definition and reporting). Apart from short-term project engagements we also act as an external planning and strategy department which clients of our size (company size EUR 20-250 million in sales) typically do not have.

M&A and project management

We provide support for our clients in their carrying out of complex projects. This particularly includes merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions. It is within our realm of expertise to be active both on the buyer and on the seller side. Furthermore, we facilitate the selling of companies (which includes valuation), business succession, distressed M&A, corporate asset purchases, and guide clients through commercial and financial due diligence (DD). Moreover, we have definitive experience in the management of arbitration proceedings (ICC and DIS). As a result of being project managers, we coordinate all external and internal partners and therefore the overall process.
